The Red Lab Terms & Conditions

A legal disclaimer

Effective Date: September 22, 2026
Last Updated: September 22, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website, booking services, products, consultations, styling services, creative services, and other services provided by The Red Lab (“The Red Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, submitting a booking request, purchasing a service, making a payment, or otherwise engaging with The Red Lab, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Our Services

The Red Lab provides fashion styling, personal styling, image consulting, creative direction, costume design, wardrobe consulting, photoshoot styling, fashion-show styling, and related creative services.

Specific services, deliverables, pricing, timelines, and requirements will be communicated through the applicable service description, booking page, consultation, proposal, invoice, or agreement.

The Red Lab reserves the right to determine whether a requested service is appropriate for our capabilities, availability, creative process, and business policies.

2. Booking & Availability

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee that your appointment or project has been accepted.

A booking is considered confirmed only after:

  • The Red Lab confirms the booking; and

  • Any required deposit, retainer, or payment has been received.

We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking, due to availability, scheduling conflicts, project requirements, safety concerns, or other reasons at our desecration reasons.

3. Payments

Prices are displayed or communicated before a client commits to a service.

Unless otherwise stated, required deposits, retainers, or payments must be received before services begin.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate payment information and completing payments according to the payment schedule provided.

Additional expenses—including but not limited to clothing purchases, rentals, alterations, shipping, transportation, venue fees, assistants, production expenses, or third-party services—may be the client's responsibility when disclosed or approved in advance.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Because The Red Lab reserves time and resources specifically for each client, cancellations and rescheduling are subject to the cancellation policy associated with the booked service.

Any applicable non-refundable deposit or retainer will be identified before payment.

If you need to reschedule, you must contact The Red Lab as soon as reasonably possible.

Repeated cancellations, late cancellations, or failure to attend an appointment may result in additional fees or the inability to book future services.

5. Late Arrivals & No-Shows

Clients are responsible for arriving on time and being prepared for their scheduled service.

Late arrival may reduce the amount of time available for the service and may not result in an extension of the scheduled appointment.

A missed appointment without appropriate notice may be treated as a no-show and may result in forfeiture of applicable deposits or booking fees.

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide accurate information necessary for The Red Lab to perform the requested service.

Clients are responsible for communicating relevant preferences, sizing information, project requirements, deadlines, budget limitations, and other information reasonably necessary for the project.

The Red Lab is not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed information provided by the client.

7. Styling Recommendations

The Red Lab provides professional creative and styling recommendations based on information provided by the client, including their stated preferences, goals, measurements, budget, project requirements, and available resources.

Styling recommendations are subjective and creative in nature. We do not guarantee that a client will achieve a particular emotional, social, professional, financial, or commercial result from using our services.

8. Clothing, Products & Third-Party Vendors

The Red Lab may recommend or source clothing, accessories, rentals, alterations, photography, production services, venues, or other third-party products and services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, The Red Lab is not the manufacturer or seller of third-party products.

Third-party purchases, shipping, returns, warranties, availability, sizing, quality, delays, and policies are generally governed by the applicable third party's terms.

Clients are responsible for approved purchases made on their behalf unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Creative Direction & Project Deliverables

For creative projects, photoshoots, fashion shows, productions, campaigns, or other collaborations, deliverables will be based on the agreed scope of work.

Creative concepts, mood boards, styling direction, wardrobe selections, visual references, and other creative materials remain subject to The Red Lab's professional judgment unless specific creative requirements have been agreed upon in writing.

Changes to project scope may result in additional fees.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, The Red Lab retains ownership of its original creative materials, including original concepts, styling systems, mood boards, written materials, templates, creative direction, branding, photographs created by The Red Lab, and other intellectual property owned or developed by The Red Lab.

Clients may not reproduce, sell, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit The Red Lab's proprietary materials without written permission.

Client-owned materials remain the property of the client or applicable rights holder.

11. Client Photos, Videos & Testimonials

The Red Lab may request permission to photograph or record clients during services or projects.

Participation in photography or video does not automatically constitute permission for marketing use.

Any marketing use of a client's identifiable image, likeness, testimonial, or other personally identifiable content will be handled according to the applicable media release or consent provided by the client.

Clients may decline optional marketing/media consent without affecting their ability to purchase services unless the content is an essential part of a separately agreed creative production.

12. Confidentiality

The Red Lab will make reasonable efforts to protect confidential client and project information.

However, confidentiality does not apply to information that:

  • Is publicly available;

  • Was already lawfully known to The Red Lab;

  • Is independently developed;

  • Is received lawfully from another source; or

  • Must be disclosed by law, court order, or governmental authority.

13. Website Use

You agree not to use our website to:

  • Commit or facilitate unlawful activity;

  • Attempt unauthorized access to our systems;

  • Interfere with website functionality;

  • Copy or misuse our proprietary content;

  • Impersonate The Red Lab or another person; or

  • Upload malicious code or harmful material.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the website when reasonably necessary.

14. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, social media platforms, retailers, booking systems, payment processors, photographers, vendors, or other services.

The Red Lab does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, products, services, or policies.

15. Disclaimer

The Red Lab provides creative and styling services on a professional, best-effort basis.

Except where prohibited by law, we do not guarantee any particular personal, professional, financial, social, artistic, commercial, or other outcome from our services.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Red Lab will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our website or services.

To the extent permitted by law, The Red Lab's total liability relating to a particular service will not exceed the amount actually paid by the client to The Red Lab for that service.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.

17. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Red Lab, its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and authorized service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, or misuse of our services or intellectual property.

18. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

The Red Lab reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate services when reasonably necessary, including in circumstances involving harassment, abusive behavior, discrimination, threats, unsafe conduct, repeated policy violations, nonpayment, or other conduct that materially interferes with our ability to provide services.

19. Governing Law

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute will be handled in a court of appropriate jurisdiction in Michigan unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed to in writing.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

The updated version will be posted on this website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of our website or services after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.

21. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

22. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable service agreement, proposal, invoice, booking confirmation, cancellation policy, privacy policy, and other written agreements between you and The Red Lab, constitute the agreement governing the applicable services.
